My Story
Blake Augustine is an author-illustrator who is a bit of an enigma—part poet, part artist, part intergalactic explorer.
He spends most nights lost in space, tethered to Earth only by a thin cord made of nostalgia and metal music. He's not alone—just orbiting in good company.
Raised in the quiet valleys of a small Missouri town, Blake discovered poetry not in lectures, but in trickling streams and rolling hills of emerald. Poetry didn't just speak for him—it saved him. What began as a form of therapy became a compass to unseen galaxies and the constellations hidden within himself.
Blake is also a proud father who enjoys building blanket forts and making dinosaur pancakes. Though "free-time" rarely makes an appearance in his vocabulary, he finds joy in local art walks and true-crime podcasts. When he's not crafting feelings into metaphors, he can usually be found overanalyzing sunsets, sipping cold coffee, or pretending writer's block is part of the creative process.
Letters from Aphrodite marks his poetry debut, with his sights now set on the world of dark romance—where love cuts deep and healing isn't always gentle.
